In a Village Where Nature and Creativity Resonate: Join "Higashiyoshino Open Atelier 2025: The Beginning"

自然と創造が響き合う村で──『はじまりの東吉野オープンアトリエ2025』に参加して

The "Higashiyoshino Open Atelier 2025" was held in Higashiyoshino Village, Nara Prefecture.
In this creative village, surrounded by rich nature, a diverse group of creators, including Felix Conran, gathered to
share a time where life and expression intertwined.

This year marked the third iteration of the event, with 39 village creators opening their ateliers to visitors,
showcasing their engagement with various works such as pottery, woodworking, photography, sword making, and painting.
It was impressive to see that not only the artworks but also the daily lives, thoughts, and connections to the land became a form of "expression."

In the talk event "Expression Blossoming from Life: Higashiyoshino Creative Session,"
four speakers, including Felix,
discussed the real-world practices that lie between "living" and "creating."
Inspired by the ideas born in nature and the creative energy rooted in the region,
we were given an opportunity to deeply reconsider "the relationship between environment and creation."

Speakers:
Shinpei Aoki | Curator at Lucha Libro, a private humanities library, philosopher
Kiyoshi Nishioka | Photographer, artist, member of Office Camp LLC
Felix Conran | Designer
Yuko Kurioka | Ceramist, Director of Okuyama House

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the creators who shared this special time with us.

Ha Partners will continue to value activities that connect creation and communities,
and will keep taking on challenges for the future, one step at a time.
